Private Pilates in East Grinstead, West Sussex
These sessions are all about you, bringing you a bespoke Pilates experience. I want you to step away from your world and re-enter feeling stronger, energised and refreshed. I offer 1:1 reformer and mat Pilates sessions and 2:1 (pair) mat sessions in my You Time Pilates Studio in East Grinstead.
These can be anything from a one-off session up to regular weekly sessions.
I love to get to know you beforehand so I can create a programme that you can get the greatest benefits and results from. We will discuss what you want out of the sessions, your goals and any preferences before you start. Each session will then be personalised to you to feature strength and mobility exercises best suited to your needs.
Why Private Pilates
Some of the many reasons why a one-to-one or smaller group class could work for you is if you’re recovering from an injury or illness, to improve your technique, to build your confidence before joining a group class or to fit your sessions into your schedule. You may also want extra support from a pre and postnatal Pilates specialist, whilst you are pregnant or if you have recently given birth. These sessions are completely tailored to you.

What’s the difference between Reformer and Mat Pilates
The Reformer machine is an amazing dynamic alternative to mat based Pilates. The machine uses springs, straps, and a sliding carriage to add resistance to exercises. Effective and fun sessions; great for building strength, mobilising joints and preventing injuries.
Mat sessions use your body weight for standing and floor based exercises, with the addition of small props to enhance and adapt your exercises. It is a wonderful way of learning the foundational movements of Pilates.
Both forms of Pilates are low impact and offer the perfect blend of strength, mobility and stretch work. There is a key focus on connecting to your core muscle group, posture and alignment and switching on every muscle from your head to your toe. Amazing for all ages and abilities.
If you are booking a private reformer class, your first class will be 15 minutes longer to familiarise yourself with the equipment.

Customer Reviews
I have been attending Sarah’s prenatal pilates and love it! She explains all of the moves/stretches so well and gives modifications. And there is a gorgeous 5 minutes of relaxation at the end! Can’t wait to attend the postnatal classes to start working on my core postnatally!

Going to Sarah’s bump Pilates classes was such an important part of my pregnancy journey, it really helped with my mobility and general wellbeing as well as blessing me with meeting mums to be. I look forward to mum and baby classes.

Can’t recommend Sarah and her classes enough, I’ve found a real love for Pilates! It can be daunting starting something new, but there’s a perfect balance for those who have done it a while or are first timers.
